Across Barbados, Monique Welch is known as a Mixologist. After returning to Barbados in 2006, she recognized a deficit in the local beauty industry. While studying in Toronto, Monique was exposed to several safe, chemical free hair and skin care products that just were either unavailable or not affordable locally.
Monique shares ?People here still did not understand, or embrace the idea of natural products and many of them misunderstood what it meant. When I got started with Mixology there were only a handful of products available and even less that were locally made. I wanted to create a product line that was safe, fun to use and incredibly effective.
Continuing, with an undeniable glow as she talks about her passion for wellness and pampering, Monique said, ?I created Bajan Beauty Enterprises as an umbrella company to address the needs of the Caribbean woman. Mixology is its first phase, focusing on the skincare aspect. I spent a lot of time researching ingredients, their functions, how to combine them and I created formulas based on two things; the results I wanted to have and the natural ingredients that would deliver these results consistently. We live in a world of ?right now? and I tweak all of my formulas to ensure that you see a visible improvement as soon as you use them.
Do you have a passion for pampering, self-care and personal wellness? If you do, step into the wellness business circle; wellness works!!
