Tuscaloosa officials will present plans, updates on projects in Alberta's tornado recovery zone Wednesday

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama ? City of Tuscaloosa officials will outline their plans and projects for the Alberta area of the city Wednesday during a public come-and-go meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. at Your Way Furniture.

The city announced Monday that some of its staff will be on hand to discuss the past, present and future of infrastructure projects in Alberta, which was the most heavily damaged area in the nation in the wake of a string of tornadoes that ripped through the southeast in April 2011. Improvements being discussed are to include the Alberta Parkway, Jaycee Park and a new fire station for the area.

The city invited residents and neighbors of the Alberta area to go and get an update on all public projects scheduled for the next year in the area and ask questions of their own, which will be taken at the end of the event.

Your Way Furniture is located at 930 26th Ave E.
