Swing for ALS Golf Tournament

A celebrity line up for the 2nd Annual SWING For ALS Golf Tournament, set for Monday, June 11 at Granite Links Golf Club in Quincy, MA has been announced. Tommy Songin, former Boston Bruin NHL Hockey Star; Bob Sweeney, former Boston Bruin, and Director of Boston Bruins Foundation; Howard Johnson, former NY Met Baseball Player; and Lyndon Byers, former Boston Bruins hockey player and WAAF Radio host/personality.

Lexus Champions for Charity and Lexus of Watertown have donated a chance to win a Golf Package Trip for 2 to Pebble Beach. There are also the following auction items: 4 tickets to a Boston Red Sox game with suite seats, parking passes, food and beverages; a Turner Hill Golf Club social membership; tickets for the Deutsche Bank Golf Tournament, in Norton, MA; Golf and Hotel/Meals Package at the Wentworth-by the-Sea; and rounds of golf at: Indian Ridge Country Club, The Ledges; Hickory Hill Golf Club; Granite Links Golf Club; Atkinson Country Club; Cyrian Keyes; Abenaqui Country Club; Ipswich Country Club; Breakfast Hill Golf Club; Amesbury Country Club; The Links at Outlook; The Golf Club of New England; and The Ranch Golf Club.

The ALS Association is the only nonprofit organization fighting Lou Gehrig's Disease by leading the way in global research, providing assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships. The Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure. The Massachusetts chapter serves hundreds of individuals and families living with ALS, providing compassionate care and support through information and referral services, support groups, equipment loan program, educational trainings, transportation program, and local and federal advocacy efforts.
